Treasure Valley Community College opened in 1962 holding afternoon and evening classes at Ontario High School. Since that simple beginning, TVCC has grown to 14 major buildings, including the Laura Moore Cunningham Science Center, which opened its doors in 2013.
TVCC is an affordable option for your education. To learn more about college costs, visit www.collegecost.ed.gov
A caring staff and faculty serve over 9,000 students annually, providing excellent, affordable educational opportunities in a relaxed, pleasant rural setting on 90 beautifully manicured acres.
Students at TVCC have easy access to shopping areas, movie theaters, restaurants, and a number of cultural and recreational facilities. Ontario maintains a small-town atmosphere while serving as a commercial, recreational, medical, and industrial center for Malheur County and the surrounding area. The city is located in the Treasure Valley, near the Snake River, and little more than a mile from the Idaho border. Boise is 55 miles away and brings a cosmopolitan flavor to the valley. The area is well known for outdoor activities. Students can easily drive to excellent skiing, hunting, fishing, and hiking sites.
Main campus amenities include the Heinz Ore-Ida Sports Complex for baseball, softball, tennis, and soccer, and the Four Rivers Cultural Center and museum, which houses the Performing Arts Center.
The Caldwell Center is a satellite of TVCC and offers college preparation, college transfer, and professional-technical classes in a beautiful three-story building built in downtown Caldwell on the banks of Indian Creek. The Caldwell Center offers a broad range of student services including advising, placement testing, registration, financial aid assistance, and career planning. Students also have access to tutorial support and student activities. Classes may be taken face-to-face, via interactive video conference with the Ontario campus, or on the web. Students may take classes at both the Caldwell Center and the Ontario campus.
TVCC also provides outreach services in Harney County at the Burns Outreach Center, the Warner Creek Correctional Institution in Lakeview, and at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario.
