What began as an online, community input, media news page has now expanded its borders and is now one of the leading news outlets for the local area. LivingInTheNews.Com has brought local events as well as bringing the Washington County community together as a whole. Owner and operator Alex Chavarria had a dream to bring news to his fellow community members in a positive and expedient way. In 2013 that dream became a reality with the creation of LivingInTheNews.Com.
Chavarria teamed up with a former Weiser High School graduate, Nathan Elison, who created the LITN website. With the help of Elison, the Chavarria dream evolved into a reality by building the page that allows the public to access media content at their finger tips. In the beginning, the LITN operation was ran and organized by Alex Chavarria, his family, and the community members that were willing to share local events and news. As time has gone on and demand has increased, LITN received the opportunity to hire writers and photographers.
Currently, you can receive LITN content on their website, Facebook page, YouTube channel and Instagram account. Please feel free to like and follow us! LITN has over 9,000 followers on their Facebook page alone, with more visitors following every day. LITN has become a free public news source for Washington County and slowly but surely moving into Payette and Malheur County.
